Natalie is a student at Rio Vista Middle School and was recently recognized as an Outstanding Student by Mr. Rojas.   Her school's principal, Mr. Gray, also recognized her for meeting the qualifications required to reach Rio Vista Middle School's Renaissance Level based on her outstanding behavior and academics.

Oxnard United's, Daisy Garcia, earned awards for Reading, Lexia Superstar and Perfect Attendance during the 1st trimester at Kamala Elementary school.  Congratulations Daisy from your Oxnard United family!!

G2010 team player, Juliana Ramos, is the recipient of a Marine Science Scholarship from Merito Foundation.  Oxnard United is proud of this player's accomplishment!! 

Daisy Garcia received another award at Kamala Elementary School.  This time she earned the recognition for Reading and Responsibility that she exhibits in Ms. Serrano's class. 

Oxnard United is proud of the dedication that Daisy and her fellow teammates show in their classrooms, out in their community and on the field. 

Juliana Ramos is recognized as the Inspirational Student for her grade level at Rio Real Elementary School.  Fantastic job by Juliana!!

Oxnard United's, Isabella Gomez, earned a Math and Highest Honors Award during the 1st trimester at St. Anthony's School.  Super Job Isabella!!

Spring 2021 Merito Foundation Marine Science Scholarship was awarded to an Oxnard United G2010 player for the second time.  Juliana Ramos worked hard and once again received the Merito Foundation Scholarship award once again.  Congratulations Juliana!!

Oxnard United G2010 player, Melanie Ruiz, received an outstanding student award at Art Haycox Elementary School.  Way to go Melanie!!

The Oxnard United G2010 players took a break from soccer to give back to their community by volunteering at the Santa to the Sea 5K and Half Marathon race on December 12th.  The girls woke up really early on this cold morning to give back to their community. The players helped keep the runners hydrated by making sure cups of water or gatorade were available to them as they sped by the tent. They also made sure that the tent and surrounding area was kept clean by picking up trash and cups. 

The girls had so much fun cheering the runners on and encouraging them until they reached the finish line.  Santa to the Sea 2021 was the first Community Service day for players, Dayana and Monica.

Our girls participated in a tournament in Orange County and we took them to visit UC, Irvine. They had a blast, especially when we ate lunch at the Dinning Commons.

Our girls participated in the SLO Junior's Classic and got a chance to visit Cal Poly after their 2nd game on Saturday. 

Our girls toured UC, Santa Barbara and attended a Women's Soccer game. For most of our girls, it was their fist time visiting a 4-year university.

Peter Soltero, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist for Ventura County Behavioral Health Integration Program talked to the players about the importance of taking care of themselves in different areas of their lives.  He discussed emotions, coping skills, and the importance of seeking help if they needed it.  Thank you to Mr. Soltero for giving of his time, knowledge and experience to educate the G2010 team. 

Angel Herrera, Associate Director, Accountant at Universal Music Group was a guest speaker for the Oxnard United G2010 team. Angel talked to the girls about his upbringing. He had to overcome many obstacles; one big one was not having many positive role models. This led to him trying to fit in, hanging around with the wrong crowd and making bad choices. Despite the mistakes he made, he stressed to the girls that individuals have the opportunity to fix those mistakes they made and do something better for themselves.   Most importantly, he told them that we cannot stop working and must put in the work to be able to achieve their dreams.

Angel's dream was to join the music industry and he had to work hard to achieve his dream. Hard work, commitment and sacrifice made his dream a reality. For Angel, the end result has been a successful career of more than 16 years. The girls were ecstatic when he shared that he works with personalities such as Taylor Swift, Eminem, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, The Rolling Stones, and KISS.

Michelle Morgan, life coach and author came and spoke to the G2010 players about life choices and how to better themselves in academics and sports.  Many good lessons for the players to learn from.  Thank you to Michelle Morgan for giving the girls some positive encouragement on good choices to make in their lives by believing in themselves and working hard.

Oxnard United's G2010 team had motivating speaker, Maria Reveles, giving them pointers from what classes to take in high school, getting college scholarships and their college admission opportunities.  What a fantastic opportunity for the team.  Thank you Maria Reveles from Oxnard United SC.

Thank you to Jose Abraham Pina for coming  out and provided a training session to the G2010 players  to prepare them for Coast Soccer League Season's start in a few weeks. He also shared with the girls how their preparation on and off the field correlates to the success they may achieve in their High School and Post-Secondary Education which they will be coming up to in the future.
